About me
My passions are languages and science, and I am lucky that as a translator and science journalist I get to work with the German and English language every day on exciting topics. I am a native of Germany and I have been living in the US since 2004. Switching between languages is also the daily routine in my family. We are trilingual: My Spanish husband, our two children and me are all fluent in English, Spanish and German.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Since 2008: Freelance translator. Since 2008 I produce occasionally, and since 2014 regularly English to German quality translations in the fields of science, biotechnology, medicine and pharmacy.
Since 2003: Freelance science journalist and member of the Journalist Office Schnittstelle. I consistently write articles in German for major German newspapers, magazines and institutions about research in the US and Germany.
2002-2003: Internships in the science sections of the German newspapers Berliner Zeitung, Der Tagesspiegel, Die Welt and Netzeitung
